CD Cover Evaluation

CD cover evaluation

We was given the task of making a cd cover of a artist, band, play list or song of our choice.

I went with making a playlist base on my favorite songs I listen to when I go on car or bus trips to places that i haven't been to before, so it end up with the name of adventure playlist after me and my ex sat there and watch all the hobbit movies.

I am a guy who loves to travel and my life goal to travel around the world with friends and a DSLR camera and good music and the ones on this playlist/album are mine, my ex and friends favorite songs from our camping trip and other meetings.

i chose theirs photos from my hard drive because they all have meaning to me:

-the classic vw camper van is one of mine and my ex favorite vehicle to own.

-the photo of people walking from behind is a photo of me, Ethan, Josh and Raih. The photo was took by Robyn on my camera as we was walking to the shops to get food for our camping trip.

-the photos of inside a long dark hall ways are me and my friends brad going exploring in some abandon buildings.

-the photo of the tower with ladder and the building with the fire escape is supposed to represent the fact if you climbing it you will be able to see the world from a new angle.

-the photo of the allay is something i took on one of my adventure and i thort it would look nice.

i chose the style of writing because sort of classic and i love this style of writing because it not use that much now days because of modern day youth slang and you can still read it and it also sort of a lost art to be able write like that.

My cd cover making process

this is the step by step process on how i made my adventure album art work.

this is the front covet.

the original photo was take on the a47 on the way home we was following a classic vw camper van.

i took the photo on my phone and then play around with it on photoshop on my phone

i decide that it would make a good album cover for my adventure because vw camper van because they are always about exploring and traviling

the back and front on the template

the original back i move to be the inside back cover.

this photo is taken on campus the tower and the ladder are near the engineering department .

they are mixture of photo from my travles  and adventure with my friends

slowly putting it all together

the new back cover with full track list

i change the back to this photo so it was easier to read the song list and also the photo is pretty nice in how my camera fouse more on foreground than background.

wander- rest
the album is label under rock in itunes but it sort of mix genres.

the album cover is sort of a fantasy digital sketch.
my honest opinions on the cover is that the guy who is siting on the mountain is high by the fact he is sitting suronde by mushrooms.
another little thing is that he is playing a is a wood wind instrument which could mean that the album is claiming.

the woodwind could also him to calling the wolfs to him as a form of howling

To make a CD album art work

so we was task with making album of our own chose (like any band, artist or our own songs)
my first idea was to do a album of music the you tube channel the proper people use behind there exploring videos.

there soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/theproperpeople/tracks
there youtube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/TheProperPeople

but i thourt it would be stupid to do because it would only be a clash of 4 songs by them and 6 songs by other artists so there for it woundnt be just a album for just there music.

so i sat and span around on the wheelie chair thinking of interspersion and a bit of my ex work caught my eye and then i remember how we met was because i upload a short 30 second video of where i was standing on top of this tall tower i climb up on a little adventure i went on after i mover to explorer there area, shortly after that we stared planing little adventures, and the second thing after where we was planing where to go was the music we was going to listen to  as we travel and a we stared to make a playlist.

i thought because i want to do a adventure style album i should do that playlist because it has some meaning to me so it worth actually doing it because i some time listen to it in the car, bus or walking when i go out to a place i never been before because it our adventure playlist and it was a grate memory to keep alive and happy.

i still been adding songs to the list so i am doing a twin CD case to fit the full play list on.
